Company Overview
Edison Opto from New Taipei, Taiwan, was built in 2001. The company’s mission is to provide with customers the complete LED lighting product line, which ranges from components, AC/DC modules, light strips, street/outdoor lighting, horticulture lighting and automotive lighting.
In particular, it established the integrated lighting design manufacturing service, LDMS(
), to help customers manage every issue while designing LED lighting products.
To provide prompt delivery service, Edison Opto has also established factories in Dongguan and Yangzhou. Moreover, the company has also set up a subsidiary in USA to expand the service domain.
Business Philosophy
With advanced equipments and talented team groups, Edison Opto is devoted to providing customers with professional and customized services. To ensure every product can meet the demands of clients, every product must be inspected strictly before shipping. Besides, Edison Opo takes “enlightenment”, “enrichment” and “benefit” as the business philosophy. We are devoted to innovating, creating convenient LED products and establishing a mutually beneficial situation with our partners.
Edison Opto’s research and development strength are well recognized by Taiwanese government. In 2005, we acquired the R&D plan of 100W high power LED. And we launched the 100W EdiStar which is over 6000lm in December 2006, creating a milestone for Taiwanese LED technology. In addition, Edison Opto has invested large amounts of funds and human resources in researching and developing the latest high-power LED technology.
In 2011, Edison Opto created the LDMS service program which integrates four essential technologies in LED lighting applications- Thermal Management, Electrical Scheme, Mechanical Refinement and Optical Optimization. LDMS can help customers develop new solid state lighting products easily and quickly.We provide the following service:
1. LDMS provides LED lighting design, LED manufacture and technical support that may occur in every step.
2. LDMS is an integrated program derived from the four essential technologies in LED lighting applications- Thermal Management, Electrical Scheme, Mechanical Refinement, Optical Optimization, to provide customer with various LED components and modules.
3. From components to luminaires, EDISON OPTO provides customers a complete solution throughout all the stages of your product development process.
Future Vision
To confidently look forward to the future, Edison Opto is expected to become a world-leading LED manufacturer. We never stop challenging the limitation in all aspects to create the ideal LED products for emerging solid-state lighting field. With accomplishment in R&D, we wish to extend our expertise in LED technology to lighting applications. In the meantime, the CSR concepts will be gradually introduced into the company governance. For example, the better product life cycles and the reduced carbon footprints will be included in the operation strategies. Thomas Alva Edison is the inventor of light bulb. Besides, Light Emitting Diode becomes the new light source which is developed actively. Edison Opto takes Thomas Alva Edison as a model and expects that we can devote ourselves to developing LED light source and benefiting mankind.
Our logo uses the concept of sunshine and the 9 circles which represent as cold white, warm white and rainbow colors to symbolize LED can emit colorful light.
The red spot in our logo represents Edison Opto’s first product, red light transmitter and receiver of plastic optical fiber.

The chairman of Edison Opto, Mr. Jason Wu has realized the trend and prospects of LED and committed to devote himself to the LED industry. In 2001, Edison Opto Corporation has been established and Mr. Jason Wu has embarked on a struggling journey of LED business. The brand of Edison Opto has been well-known in LED industry, and we take Thomas Edison, who is the inventor of light bulb, as our role model and devote ourselves to developing LED light source. Edison Opto doesn’t involve in other areas, and we focus on researching and developing in high power LED lighting industry. By the efforts of Mr. Jason Wu and his staff, Edison Opto has grown up step by step, and the scale of Edison Opto has made a substantial leap.
The Design Concepts of Brand Logo
Our logo uses the 9 circles to represent cold white, warm white and rainbow colors and symbolize that LED can emit colorful light. And our logo uses blue, red and black to represent technology, passion and steadiness.
