Sales Terms

To safeguard the interests of both parties and to establish clear transaction conditions, Edison Opto has detailed regulations covering product sales procedures, payment terms, delivery schedules, inspection and warranty, intellectual property rights, force majeure, and other matters.

These Sales Terms apply to all commercial transactions conducted by Edison Opto Corporation and its affiliates, covering Taiwan, Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau, unless otherwise mutually agreed in writing.

Customer Complaint Policy and Process

  1. Warranty service applies only to customers who purchase products directly from Edison Opto.
  2. After completing the “Quality Issue Report Form,” returned products (excluding the packaging) must remain in the same good condition as when originally delivered to the customer. If the product has already been used, please also provide the associated luminaire or equipment, and notify Edison Opto immediately after shipment.
  3. Upon receipt of returned products for inspection, Edison Opto will issue a 3D failure analysis report within 3 working days, a 5D failure analysis report within 5 working days, and an 8D failure analysis report within 7 working days. If the customer does not raise objections within seven days of receiving these reports, it will be deemed to agree that our company shall proceed according to the contents of the report.
  4. Warranty service does not apply under the following circumstances:
    1. Improper storage or maintenance
    2. Unauthorized modifications or repairs
    3. Improper use or usage beyond the conditions specified in the brochure
    4. Usage beyond normal product applications
    5. Damage due to shipping accidents, intent, or negligence
    6. Use in inappropriate environments
  5. If the customer fails to follow the above procedures when reporting complaints, Edison Opto reserves the right to refuse providing warranty service.
  6. Unless the defect is attributable to Edison Opto, customers shall bear the costs of shipping and delivery.
