Community Engagement
Edison Opto is committed to integrating sustainability into every aspect of corporate operations, including company policies, internal management systems, execution procedures, and employee training. We extend our professional expertise in LED technology across diverse lighting applications, while integrating environmental concepts into our business strategy. By incorporating product life cycle management and carbon reduction assessments, we aim to create profitability while also fostering a high-quality living environment. At the same time, we remain committed to contributing to society through a series of sustainability initiatives. Our key sustainability practices are summarized as follows:
Light up communities, Brighten the Future
In July 2024, the Taipei plant launched the initiative “Light up communities, Brighten the Future” to support the Wulai Guanhuai Association in New Taipei City. The project replaced 49 LED lights to improve lighting conditions, creating a more comfortable environment for children to study and dine after school.
Extending Love through Blood Donation
In May 2024, Edison Opto’s Yangzhou plant, together with Aiter, organized a blood donation activity with 10 employees participating, donating a total of 3,700 c.c. of blood. In August, the Taipei plant partnered with the Taiwan Blood Foundation to host another drive, inviting both headquarters employees and local residents to join. The event attracted 39 donors, collecting 9,750 c.c. of blood and spreading care throughout the community.
Donation Activities
On May 19, 2024, in response to the “Charity One-Day Donation” campaign organized by the Yangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone Administrative Office, Edison Opto and Aiter jointly donated RMB 3,500 to support social welfare initiatives. In September of the same year, the company completed a clothing drive, donating collected garments to the Hengli Town Women’s Center to assist those in need.
