Air Pollution Management
The company’s air emissions mainly come from the use of organic solvents such as acetone and isopropanol in production processes for wiping and cleaning, which generate volatile organic compounds (VOCs). When quarterly emissions reach the taxable threshold (1 metric ton), VOC air pollution fees must be paid. A dedicated unit is responsible for quarterly statistics on solvent usage, online reporting of solvent consumption, and payment of air pollution discharge fees.
Wastewater Management
The Taipei plant does not produce process wastewater; only sewage from employee office and daily activities is generated. Compared to industrial wastewater, the environmental impact is lower, and all sewage is discharged through the professional sewage treatment system of the building. Employees are encouraged to conserve water, reminder posters are displayed in the offices, and regular inspections of the water system are conducted to prevent possible leaks.
Waste Management
Sources of general waste
Include paper, batteries, toner cartridges, aluminum cans, kitchen waste, glass, and household garbage. Recyclable or reusable materials should be carefully sorted for recycling, and the use of non-recyclable materials should be reduced to achieve waste reduction. Storage areas should be properly categorized and equipped with pollution prevention measures.
Sources of industrial waste
Mainly include waste solvents, molding scraps, support scraps, PCB board edges, etc. Recyclable materials should be carefully sorted for recycling, and direct disposal should be reduced to facilitate reuse. All activities must comply with relevant environmental regulations, and waste must be entrusted to qualified professional waste disposal agencies under contract, with proper disposal certificates issued by the agencies.
